Torino have knocked back a pair of bids from Manchester City for Bruno Peres as Pep Guardiola attempts to reinforce his defence ahead of the upcoming season.
The right-back has emerged as one of the Serie As's most exciting players following his transfer from Brazilian club Santos to the Granata in the summer of 2014 for a fee of €2.2 million, and has since made 65 league appearances for the club.

The 26-year-old, known for his attacking runs, has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich as well as Manchester City with the Catalan coach keen to see him replace either Gael Clichy or Aleksandr Kolarov as full-back at the club.
However, the Citizens' pursuit of the former Santos man has continued to be an unsuccessful one, with the club failing to meet Torino's €20m valuation of the player.

According to Toro News, the Etihad outfit launched a €15m bid, which was subsequently rejected, before following up with a bid in the region of €17.5m, which Granata officials also turned down.
Peres' current contract with Torino is set to expire in the summer of 2020.
